About The Author
Imagination, persistence, and faith woven into every story.
Gerald Tausch is an everyday American whose roots are grounded in the vibrant culture of Czech immigrants. Growing up in a nurturing environment built on trust and kindness, he developed a deep imagination that would later inspire the world of Bumphead and Eagleye.
Throughout his life, Gerald’s creativity has taken many forms—from designing intricate electrical systems and periscopes for military tanks to crafting wooden stools and solving complex mechanical challenges. His persistence and problem-solving mindset reflect the same determination seen in his beloved character, Bumphead. Above all, Gerald is a devoted husband, father of three, and proud grandfather of seven.
The stories of Bumphead and Eagleye were first shared with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—born from moments of storytelling, laughter, and life lessons passed down through generations.
His writing carries a heartfelt message: let your imagination run free, embrace kindness, and never lose the childlike wonder that makes life meaningful. Through his stories, Gerald invites readers of all ages to rediscover innocence, strengthen their values, and believe that even the smallest voice can make a difference.
